My Background:
I have been teaching since 1996. Before I moved to Albany in 2004 and began teaching at West, I lived in Portland and taught in the Beaverton school district and at Portland State University. At the high school level, I have taught all grade levels 9-12, from Freshman English to IB and AP English Literature. I hold a master's degree in education, a master of arts in English literature and composition, and a bachelor's degree in English, all from Portland State. Before I began teaching, I worked in the desktop publishing/electronic prepress field for 12 years. This Year:
I will be teaching three sections of Freshman English and two sections of AP English Literature this year. I am on campus every morning, and on Blue Day afternoons. This Site:
I hope that this site will prove a useful resource for students and parents; some links require Acrobat Reader, which you can get here. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions -- about the site, about assignments or expectations, or about your student's progress. Email is by far the best way to get ahold of me; I check my email on gold days from home.Have a great year!
